Discipleship Pathway + Strandz
We have partnered with Discipleship Pathway, a creative initiative from the Nelson Diocese, to put together digital leadership training for children and families ministry leaders across Aotearoa New Zealand.
We unpack a key value of Strandz in each class, and discuss how the church can empower children and families to be hope bearers and kingdom changers in the world. Each class is made up of short, simple, creative, fun and engaging modules, and are presented by some of the most experienced children's ministry leaders we know. These videos are great for those starting out in kids ministry, if you'd like a refresh on a particular topic, or want to dig deep into a topic that you're interested in. We hope you love them as much as we do. |

Who's it for?
Our classes can be viewed as soon as you're signed up and enrolled through the Discipleship Pathway website. You're free to watch them by yourself, or gather a small group or ministry team together to view and discuss them together. We'd encourage you to consider who else could join you on this learning journey, as we often learn better in community. Ask yourself, 'What is God saying to me through this module?' and 'What can I do about it?'
These videos are created for our Anglican Churches in New Zealand, but are available for any church or denomination to use, both in NZ and further afield.

How much does it cost?
It's free! Thanks St John's College Trust for funding this awesome project.
Child and Family Theology
In this class, we'll explore how best to reflect God in the way we see children, care for them and support their faith. Annette Osborne equips the Church to weave faith into the lives of our children, as a wider church whānau, on a journey of following Jesus together.

Intergenerational Communities
Growing up in an intergenerational faith community is the best way for us to form faith, as we journey alongside other ages and generations in discovering who Jesus is. As we create space for children and young people to authentically belong in our faith communities, we ensure they are wrapped up in a welcoming, loving and accepting church whānau, who provide opportunities for all generations to worship, serve and seek God together.

Whānau on mission
As we look at the life of Jesus, we read so many stories of his ministry taking place outside the walls of the church. In this Whānau on Mission class, Greta Greenwood unpacks how children and families can step into a God given adventure in their local communities, as they love and serve the neighbourhoods they are already planted in. We’ll explore ways to share our faith, have fun, care for creation, and be people of generosity and gratitude, and more - as part of a whole-hearted community.

Partnering with Families
How do we come alongside families to help form faith in the home? More than starting a new programme or trying to juggle church and children, Partnering with Families is about discipleship woven into the fabric of everyday lives. In this class, Cath McVey gets to talk about her two favourite things: children and mission! With experience in teaching, ministry and raising a family in Aotearoa, she shares how to support families in faith formation and develop rhythms of discipleship in the home. Enjoy a balanced perspective from someone who's done the hard yards.
