Bible Engagement
Helping children unpack the Bible, and introducing them to the Living Word as they encounter the people of God through people in the Bible, is one of our greatest privileges - and often a big challenge!
We keep our Bible and Scripture resources over on our other website, Bible Explore |

New Testament Activities
Here are some activities and ideas for engaging 9-11s with the New Testament, prepared by some Anglican Studies students in 2016:
Introduction - Rosemary Dewerse
An introduction to the New Testament pack, with more details about each resource Introduction.pdf New Testament Rap - Anna Reeve So maybe you have some in your faith community who are good at rhythm and rap or who could be if given the chance? New Testament Rap.pdf Two Team Games - Samantha Ives Two fun games to help get the books of the New Testament in order Pegs on the Line Game.pdf Ping Pong Game.pdf Intergenerational Quiz - Fiona Thompson and June Gennard Questions from all the books for an Intergenerational Quiz, grouped according to genre (Gospels, History, Letters, Apocalyptic, or a bonus round of New Testament Trivia.) Pack includes questions and a printable dice Intergenerational Quiz.pdf Board Game - Heather Schollum A game to introduce or reinforce learning, with a printable board, cards and instructions Board Game.pdf Trading Cards - Rowan Miller The idea is that teachers could give out the cards as prizes (perhaps a couple at a time) and young ones would build up the collection and start to trade and arrange the cards in order. In the process they’d be picking up something of how the New Testament fits together, what happens in each book, and so on. Games could be created using the details on the cards, or weave around any of the other activities in this resource pack. Trading Cards.pdf Information Sheet - Samantha Ives A summary of the New Testament Books Information Sheet.pdf |
